This piece fuses various aspects of the shona mbira Dza Vadzimu with a distinctly Western European form and harmonic/melodic content.  The two mbira lines create a flowing pattern in three with the marimba supplying a contrasting color, harmony, and melodic figures.  The main melodic material is presented by the vibraphone, performed by the guest artist.  Hosho shakers are also an optional addition to this great piece of Zimbabwean influences.
